GUIDELINES FOR APPLYING TO VARIOUS POSTS ADVERTISED IN PAU.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE POST.

Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the posts given below. The candidates are required to deposit the prescribed fee as mentioned against each post through Electronic Mode only. After online submission of application form, it is mandatory for all the candidates to take a printout of the duly filled application form and submit the same along with proof of qualifications, experience, testimonials and all other relevant documents in PDF form at email id: pau-recruitment@pau.edu . The last date to apply for these posts is 15.07.2022. The link will be open for candidates till 15.07.2022 at 4.00 p.m.


Candidates are deemed to have read, agreed and accepted to the General Information and the terms and conditions mentioned in the General Information.
  1. Candidates are advised to fill the application form by themselves on the link "PAU Recruitment" given at www.pau.edu PAU website.
  2. Candidates are advised to fill their details in the online application form carefully e.g. Name, Father's Name, Mother's name, Date of Birth, Reserved Category for post, Qualifications, Experience and upload soft copy of his/her recent passport size photograph and Signature.
  3. Candidate should ensure that all the information filled during the online submission of application/ registration form is correct and factual. Information provided by the candidates in the online application form shall be treated as correct and self- certified and PAU shall not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for change in the information provided by the candidates.
  4. Candidates are advised to confirm their reservation status, if applying under any reservation category.
  5. According to Section 2(r) of The Rights of Person with Disabilities Act-2016 – "person with benchmark disability" means a person with not less than forty percent of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.
  6. The age for applying for these posts may not less than 18 years and not more than 37 years. The upper age limit will be relaxable upto 45 years in the case of persons already in employment of the Govt. of Punjab/ other State Govt. or Govt. of India.
  7. As per decision of the Board of Management vide notification No. 14353 dated 30.10.2018, the relaxation in age will be maximum upto 45 years for the employees who are already engaged in University on contract basis for applying to the non-teaching posts (as per notification No. GSR.33/Const./ART/309/94 dated 4.5.1994 by the Punjab Govt.).
  8. The in-service candidates after applying online, are required to send hard copy of the application along with all certificates through proper channel.
  9. Candidate's age is to be determined as on 1st January of the year in which the post is being advertised.
  10. The scrutiny of application forms shall be done after the conduct of the examination/ prescribed test of those candidates who will clear the examination/ test. During the process of scrutiny, the application forms and other relevant documents, original certificates etc. of the candidates shall be examined to determine their eligibility as on the last date of registration for applying for the ibid posts.
  11. No request for change in any particulars submitted by the candidates shall be entertained by the University at any stage of the recruitment process.
  12. Fee concession/ exemption will not be given to any candidate. In case the candidate fails to deposit the fee, his/ her application shall stand automatically cancelled/ rejected and shall not be considered for further processing.
  13. Only online application forms will be entertained i.e. application sent by post/ in person will not be entertained. Any application sent physically to the PAU shall be similarly rejected.
  14. Due to any reason (technical or otherwise) if the prescribed fee is not paid, the application shall not be considered.
  15. The reservation and age relaxation will be applicable according to Punjab Govt. policy/ instructions/ rules implemented in the University as per decision of the Board of Management.
  16. The University reserves the right to post/ transfer its employees in any office at Ludhiana as well as its offices located at outstations.
  17. The corrigendum/addendum, if any, will be issued on our website www.pau.edu only. All the updates and notices regarding the above post will be uploaded on the above website. Thus the candidates are advised to visit the website on regular basis. No separate information will be sent through post or other means. Any information uploaded on the above mentioned website will be deemed to have reached the candidates and responsibility for not visiting the site and responding thereto in time will be entirely of the candidates.

Pay Scale and Allowances :

  1. The pay scales and other conditions for these posts wherever applicable will be as per Punjab Govt. Notification No. 7/ 204/2012-4FP1/ 60 and circular No.7/ 204/2012-4FP1/66 dated 15.1.2015 and letter No. 07/204/2012-4FP1/ 853793/1 dated 4.10.2016 issued by Govt. of Punjab, Finance Deptt. (Finance Personnel-1 branch). Any other instructions issued by the Govt. of Punjab in this regard from time to time will also be applicable.
  2. As per letter No. 7/87/2020-5FP1/ 1145 dated 29.10.2020 and letter No. 7/42/ 2020-5FP1/ 741-746 dated 17.7.2020 issued by Govt. of Punjab, Finance Deptt. (Finance Personnel-1 branch), the minimum pay of Rs. 19900/- (Level-2) for the post of clerk and Rs. 21700/-(Level-3) for the post of Steno-typist will be applicable. Any other instructions issued by the Govt. of Punjab in this regard from time to time will also be applicable.
